Survey by co-working space The Brew finds eclectic co-worker wish list for small businesses and entrepreneurs
A survey of British small businesses and entrepreneurs by The Brew, the largest co-working space in London’s Tech City (Shoreditch area), has revealed that controversial artist Tracey Emin is the co-worker most people want to sit next to.
Carried out to celebrate the build of Eagle House in Shoreditch, a new dedicated innovation and small business hub for entrepreneurs in London, the survey found musician Peter Gabriel was the second most wanted co-worker with comedian and activist Russell Brand third on the list. The results of the poll were revealed during the Topping Out party for the new London co-working flagship with the results live painted by artist Simon Meyers.
Andrew Clough, Managing Director said, “An office with Tracey Emin, Peter Gabriel and Russell Brand as co-workers may not be what you’d expect if you asked London’s business community who they most wanted to work with, but our network has voted! Each person is fascinating in their own right and just goes to show, many of us hanker after a more exciting work environment.”
Located in the heart of London’s growing entrepreneurial and tech cluster, Shoreditch, Eagle House is the fifth outpost in The Brew network of shared office space. This new centre for small businesses is housed in a repurposed Art Deco building with many original features including soaring ceilings retained.
Right in the heart of Tech City, Eagle House is designed by Clive Sall Architecture’s team of award-winning creative designers, and includes individual desk spaces and private, self-contained offices for up to six people.
Truly modern way to do business.
In addition to hot-desking, the building also includes the Coffice, a portmanteau of cafe and office. The Coffice is a casual space offering a place to work with good coffee and no commitment. Visitors can expect a coffee shop experience, cafe style seating, comfy sofas and a free superfast WiFi internet. There is also an event space (capacity 250 standing/75 theatre) for the regular programme of business networking, seminars and workshops run by The Brew
Andrew Clough added, “We can’t promise Tracy Emin, Peter Gabriel or Russell Brand but, Eagle House will provide an inspiring hub for small businesses in a contemporary setting, flexibility and affordability for start-ups and individuals across a range of industries.”
Eagle House will open in March 2015. It is located in the heart of Tech City, a few minutes from Old Street Roundabout, Moorgate and Liverpool Street station.
